No Unlimited Searches??

Hello guys. I have a question reguarding grabit v 1.5.3

Is it a paying program??
I mean , I keep getting this message:

You have reached the maximum amount of free grabit search actions for today......

Do u know a free usenet proram?? ( unlimited searches )

yes since the last update you need to pay for Grabit to get unlimited searches.
but you can use grabit for free if you dont need that search option.

there are no good free newsreaders.

but you can use free alternatives like binsearch.net

you can create NZB files with that site and open these in grabit.

Newsleecher 2.3 has a build in supersearch but Newsleecher is shareware (not free)

using NZB's is easy and you dont need a search feature in the program that you use for downloading.

yes , but I don't undestand few things :

1) The site that u gave me that make me create NBZ of a file that I searched , make me seache a movie or other among the list of alt.binaries of the website. It does NOT make me search among the binaries that I have on my news.server ??

2) after I create a NZB files with that site and open these in grabit , it starts downloading the files , ut I don't understand why I get only txt files .

help me pls , I am new in using this method of downloading

what is the server you are using? because if your using your ISP's server you cannot download everything because ISP servers have low retention and does not support all groups

I am using :

news-server.nyc.rr.com ( as u said , my provider )

and

post.usenet.com ( it has almost nothing as binariee..it sucks )

Do u have other free servers to suggest pls ??

you want everything for free huh? :P

there are no good free servers. if you want a server with a good retention and all groups you need a payserver (7/15 euros a month)

How can I know which groups are supported by my ISP ??

in grabit you can get a list of all groups your server supports

I dont have Grabit but I think you need to right click your server (on the leftside in grabit) and then choose 'fetch grouplist'
