Emule is just another filesharing program that connects to the same network Edonkey does. It also connects to the Kad network which is a fairly new network created by eMule. No, its nothing realted to the shows in itjuana AFAIK. Its simply called Emule because a mule is a crossbread of a hourse and a donkey. Homepage of Emule is http://www.emule-project.net You can find more information about eMule there. Personally, I choose Emule over Edonkey but thats my choice.Originally Posted by ms blahster
I would like to say that I prefer Edonkey, but unfortunately I'm using Amule (a Linux Emule client) right now.
The problem that Emule created at one point was that it was destroying the Edonkey network by being too aggressive in its attempts to get the highest points in the queues. Often this was causing "bogging" down on the server side.
I'm hoping that this has been resovled. Does anyone know?

Emule for me -- possibly as I can't get the new edonkey to connect
Emule is the best
I third that one. Emule Plus rocks, except there is no connection wizard, you have to enter connection settings manually.Originally Posted by littlestevee
I use both, manly because Overnet stopped development. They both connect to the same network (Although Emule also connects to Kad and Edonkey also connects like Overnet). They are both spyware free (in edonkey, you have to uncheck it durring installation). Erm, try both, see which one you like better. You can have both on the same computer, no conflicts.
I'm a proud Overnet user and a proud fileserver for their network. Long live p2p.
Would getting the latest eMule be any better? Overnet 0.52 is still doing a great job for me.
I use emule Morph for Windows and aMule for Linux.
