Anyway, my cable ISP advertised speed is 5Mbps, and I get around 700-900KB/s from Usenetserver SSL connections.

i have got 600KB/s +
5000 kb/s (kbps) = 625 kB/s
kb is kilobits and kB is kilobytes. One byte is 8 bits. GrabIt displays the speeds in kilobytes per seconds, if I remember correctly.
using newsguy I max out my internet's connection (around 2.5MByte/sec)
I get 240kbps. :huh:
Hopefully I'll get 8mbps very sooon :naughty:
I have 10Mb and I get around 1.17MBPs which is very close to max.
My connection is going up to 20Mb sometime around April and around 50Mb sometime this year, cant wait
