experience in "UNIX scripting"? ? A company I am applying for is looking for skill "UNIX scripting". I don't know whether to apply for it or not with my application development experience in Perl in UNIX environment.

I don't want discourage you from applying ... but Perl is a language.

Unix Scripting would have to do with things like
awk, sed, cal, and all the other shell commands. While there may be some overlap Perl is not the same as shell programming.
