    Please help

Hello, I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

About 16 months ago I had a strange pain in the right side of my neck, near my collarbone. Some time later I noticed a swelling lymph node behind my ear. I would wake up in the morning with dull headaches and the right side of my head felt tender to the touch. Plus a general feeling of tiredness.

I duly went to my doctor who told me I was stressed and my body was merely preparing itself for an infection, it was the body's natural defences causing this.

The pain gradually went away after about 4 weeks and I didn't give it another thought.

However, in the past few days I have noticed, upon waking, the headaches on the right side of my head have returned as has the tenderness when I touch it. There are no enlarged lymph nodes but I am feeling very tired again.

I am worried I have something serious and would appreciate any offer of advice, or hearing from someone who has had similar experience.

    Thank you

well, i am no doctor here, but all i can say is that go andt your self checked properly in some good hospital. if a doctor has said every thing is normal, then we should believe him.
and it doesnt harm to get a second opinion

It sounds like you might have an ear infection, or sinus infection - with the tenderness upon touch, and lymph node, and the localized pain - do you wake up after having slept on that side?
