quick question, and more of a "what should i look for" question.

2000 dodge stratus 6cyl ~170k
its my girlfriends, and i dont think it ever had the suspension touched or replaced.

every time you turn, and stop, and sometimes when you start off a standstill, there is this violent squeak from the front of the car.

now i suspected it would be the tie-rods (from the turning aspect), but as i drive older cars (1985 and under) i have no idea how to check the tie rods on this 2000 car. they just dont look the same.

but i think it could be the suspension (shocks/struts), but how can i examine this without well, having a 19yr old at meineke tell me their bad?

ive never really dealt with suspension diagnosis problems before, i always bought cars that had replaced eeverything, so give me a little refresher if that more than likely is the problem.

Thanks all.
