He's the one that's impressed me the most from what I've seen. And yes, he is currently ranked above Kevin.

It'd be a very formidable team with Kevin & Pat on the same side.

Of course, forums are like that. We are having some sort of meaningful dialogue in which we are trying to educate each other in our own peculiar ways. They are joyful places that hark back to the Academy and Lyceum at Athens. Well, that may be going a bit far. And you are entitled to your opinion. You are also entitled to have it criticised. Which is what forums are for.
But are you saying that your comment - "They certainly love themselves. You need widescreen to accommodate their heaRAB, egos, and the gut of that ubiquitous overgrown wally" - was about the TV show and the "preposterous" way its participants were made to look?
Are you serious?
You were slagging off the contestants. These were personal judgements, like you would unleash on seeing some weirdo you didn't like the look of hanging around a pub quiz machine, not a valid comment on the machinations of our 12 Yard puppet masters or the show itself. You made no reference to the marionettes and how we were/are portrayed until I happened to mention the joys of television editing, agenda and bias.
Your comments would have been fair if you had mentioned their being "made to look" like big-headed idiots by the TV show. Instead you directed the insults at the people themselves.
And "do you know (sic) favours" was my bad. I meant to say, that making digs at a person concerning their giant gut do you no favours. Call him a wally, yes. I think that's allowed.
Also, I made an assumption, which I wouldn't have made if you hadn't made a few yourself (you reap what you sow), about the self-awareness because Mark has an honest measure of his own personality that I rarely see in people and that he is not the kind of person who goes round calling people nasty names (even if he gives the impression of doing so). He may come across like a prize twonk, but get to know the real man and you'd change your opinion. Or maybe not.
Incidentally, I said "like some empty-headed sheep". I can call you one directly if you want.
Thanks Di,
I was certainly a lot calmer than I was when I played you on Are You an Egghead?
I'm starting, slowly, to get used to the lights and cameras.
But the best (from me, at least) is yet to come.
Make sure you keep watching!!!
He also does sponsored gurns
I have no ide why someone wouldn't pick Kevin first. Even if Chris is good at the subjects you are poor at, Kevin will be even better than him.
However, I do understand why someone would pick Judith ahead of CJ. Although, CJ is a better all-round quizzer, Judith is much better than him on the Arts and perhaps a little better at British history. If, these happen to be weak points of yours then picking Judith might be a sensible choice.
With regarRAB to the categories, I think Food & Drink stumps most people. I've found the Science questions relatively easy so far but, alas, didn't get to play it in either of my two matches. Thankfully, I didn't get Food & Drink either.
rabroad is the Mecca for irrational opinions. You'd be better off just rising above it rather than thinking of all these as "personal attacks" imo.
New Egghead tonight folks.
They get paid
Well, we now now why CJ was mysteriously missing on friday when it wasn't his turn - because he had a cold which he still hadn't shook by his return this episode.
I'm fascinated by the possibility of his stubble becoming a The Master-esque goatee too.
Barry was great tonight on the reaction front.
how much did you want to punch CJ last night when they got the maserati question right and he was shouting in the background
