How the hell does Caroline Quintin get work?

I met Caroline once, years ago. She seemed a lovely person, down to earth and very witty.
I must admit, Life of Riley is dire. I watched most of it last night while waiting for Masterchef..it was cringe-worthy and I felt embarrassed for the participants. But I suppose unless you are a mega star, able to pick and choose and commanding big fees, you don't turn down work..any work. It pays the rent etc.

I agree Life of Riley and Men Behaving Badly are excruciating rubbish, but I quite liked her in the detective series ... can't remember its name (Blue Murder?). She's one of those people I like as a person, in interviews etc, and I can forgive her bad work choices because she's probably supporting a family.

I am sorry if this is a little off topic, but Tittybangbang was an insult to the intelligence, as it has to be one of the worst shows I have ever seen and was not in any way remotely funny in any way at all.

I think Caroline Quentin is OK, she gets paid to make Life of Riley, even if it is really bad. She has been really good in a few other series.

I agree. Caroline Quentin is up there with Victoria Wood and Sue Perkins. Not funny and just generally annoying. Life of Riley is absolute s**te - just as bad as My Family.

I don't like her that much either, but that's neither her fault nor my business ultimately. I think broadcasting's just one of those 'it depenRAB who you know' worlRAB, probably a lot of people floating about because they're good company in the canteen or they have a friend of a friend in production. Then they draw in more of their frienRAB and so on.

Haven't see Life of Riley but really liked her in Jonathan Creek.
