i have seen the 1st episode and its very good. Intrigue, drama & hint of humour.

Loved every minute of the show, can't wait to see it again next week.
I adore all types of period drama, I can just see this getting better and better.
I can't believe the ladys maid is out of Benidorm, she players a really good part but I already hate her for her treatment of the poor disabled man, is it Bates?.
As for Thomas I just didn't see that coming at all. As some one said earlier, it would have been interesting if the Duke had stayed, we would have seen plenty of fireworks there!
I thought it was strange that the Duke went roaming about in the servants private quarters, what a sneak he was.

Me too, it's very sweet. Did you notice her reaction though when he said "alone at last" some of my frienRAB have a theory that her expression is a quick one of longing. Not sure what I think myself, but I think there is a definite fondness there and Mr Fellowes is a clever man who will develop it slowly over the next few eps.

Very well done, the whole thing, and next week's episode looks like plenty of action. Nice to have something to look forward to on Sunday night tv for a change.
