...times so is it accurate? Every time I see it on TV and movies it just makes no sense to me and I wonder if the makers even consider it. Am I the only one that thinks about it? There were no microphones in old civilizations such as Rome, Egypt, yet there's speakers speaking to a crowd / army who can seemingly hear and understand the speaker. For example in Spartacus when they speak in the arena. There is no way they would be heard, would they? How did they actually communicate/ announce things, or didn't they and the show makers are taking liberties? I see it so often in movies / shows and it looks so stupid and unrealistic that the crowd would hear.
