I watched this again last night (ITV4) and still think it's a great film. Not just for Sean Connerys performance as a lost soul, but for the score.
I am aware it has been compared to Good Will Hunting (IMDb) but as I have yet to see that...

I will say that at times it feels as if it was made in black and white and then transferred to colour as an after thought. Odd.

I may be wrong about this, but wasnt Sean Connerys' characther supposed to be based on JD Salinger?

I missed the film last night, but saw it ages ago, I liked it!

btw you should see Good Will Hunting, its fantastic!!

I've seen it a few times now and so obviously think it's good. The Good Will Hunting comparisons are a bit superficial and it's about something different but I agree you should add Good Will Hunting to your rental list. People don't believe Damon and Affleck really wrote it as it is so good but just because they're actors it doesn't mean they're thick

Hmm. I enjoyed the movie, butwished they could have cut out at last half of the ending...was a little too long.
Spent much of that last hour getting freaky with my bf
