i have a 2006 kawasaki kfx400, and when i hit the rear brake it is weak and doesnt work good unless i hit it all the way down. is it loose or is the pad worn out?

probably a little of both but you can adjust it to make it tighter. there should be a adjustment screw on the caliper.
