    Religious freedom

As a counter, jito and Matthew - when with the indians, do as the indians do...

Sometimes it's better to know your surroundings before moving in or becoming a part of a community. With that said, though, I agree with Jito: No one should force their religion down your throat.

Everyone smirks at this, but, this great nation was born because our forefathers wouldn't tolerate it...why should we? Ol' Glory stanRAB for freedom and those freedoms were fought and died for. So, don't step on my flag unless you want stomped on yourself.

    I'm through now... Minnie Pearle

Yes. Unless you gather enough support to change the laws.

Yet this is the exact scenario that Gay people face when it comes to marriage. The anti gay marriage people base their whole argument on their religious beliefs and want to stop us from getting married because they don't want to be forced to acknowledge us. They are in the majority and they haveput their religious beliefs on the ballot.

The point was that you chose to bait rather than spit it out and when you provided a scenario as I asked it was flawed. I do get what you're driving at and I agree. Religious principles are being used to make public policy. You think that's something new? Where do you think laws against public drunkeness, nudity, profanity come from? How does my walking aroud in public naked hurt anyone? No wisecracks you lurking peanuts. Moreover, why do you think most of us get Sundays off?

I would disobey the unjust law and prepare to defend myself against the thugs.

Need I pull up that post where fighting to protect your family, flag, country, etc., will get you called a heathen?

btw - if all else fails, you have to do something.

More evidence for the claim that democracy is tyranny.

That is not the point and you know it. Put you self in the scenerio I stated. Would you feel that the Amish were imposing their religious views on you?
