Sometimes it's better to know your surroundings before moving in or becoming a part of a community. With that said, though, I agree with Jito: No one should force their religion down your throat.

Yet this is the exact scenario that Gay people face when it comes to marriage. The anti gay marriage people base their whole argument on their religious beliefs and want to stop us from getting married because they don't want to be forced to acknowledge us. They are in the majority and they haveput their religious beliefs on the ballot.

The point was that you chose to bait rather than spit it out and when you provided a scenario as I asked it was flawed. I do get what you're driving at and I agree. Religious principles are being used to make public policy. You think that's something new? Where do you think laws against public drunkeness, nudity, profanity come from?
