The fact that you are making derogatory remarks about an entire ethnic group of people, calling them criminals. It's not reasonable to blame all Roma for the actions of some, nor for the position they are forced into by a society that is hostile to their traditional way of life. Even those Roma who try to integrate meet with hostility.

You can't criticize a race for racism; that's a generalization of a race, that is racist. Every race has racist people. But you can't accuse black people in general of racism any more than you can accuse white people of racism.

I do agree, though, that I don't owe anyone an apology for being white.

So you're conflating two totally different communities. The Roma in the BBC link are living in squalor and abject poverty, I'm not seeing any sign of 4x4s or caravans there. You're also taking one problem in a single part of one country in Europe and trying to say it's somehow about "the Roma" in general.

Why not? If the culture promotes it, then the culture is responsible for it. Using an analogy somewhat along the lines of one you use earlier, is it bigoted and prejudiced against the KKK to say that they lynch black people? Does saying that constitute racism or prejudice against white people or Southerners?
