it's when the banRAB change to try and fit in with the current trend... I wouldn't call it the major label making them change as that's just Labels being assholes..look what they did to Megadeth for example.
Green Day some people try and say sold out, but the reality is they had their new songs and it happened to be the best album they had ever done and their 1st to a major label..being it had the distribution of the big league it exploded.
Metalicca is a good example of selling out, than they try and get heavy again to gain back fans, only to sell out more by trying to sound nu-metal.
