They're a pretty amazing band yeah! I remember when I first heard the tune Sing Sang Sung a few years ago. Sweeeet. I guess you could check out the tune that it's a tribute to?

The anime Cowboy Bebop has a really great soundtrack- some good jazz, blues and a few other styles.

Raymond Scott is another jazz musician whose music you might like (and perhaps recognise). The collection 'Reckless Nights and Turkish Twilights' is a great starting place. A lot of this music has been used in TV shows and cartoons in recent years.
