    My old phone broke, so if i buy a new unlocked phone can i just put the old sim in

    it and pay off the plan? I bought a phone on a $30 plan, this phone broke. If i buy a new unlocked phone can I put the sim in it and pay off the plan?

    Yes. You can definitely insert your old SIM in a new phone and pay off the plan. But before buying an unlocked phone, make sure how safe was the phone unlocked. Certain unsafe unlocking methods or flashing would give problem while working with other SIM cards. So it is safe to get a network locked mobile phone for low cost and unlock it yourself.
