Too many American cities during the late 80s and early 90s to count.

LA or Bay Area during the 80s.
Around 1985 when the entire world was sort of a neon wasteland and the formation of grunge was just starting. Want to roadie with Green River and Big Black....
Seattle's not a shi thole but the dark and dreary winters lead to depression which has been a big influence on the music coming from this city.
If I had a time machine, I would go back to 1976-1983 era new york. Just an intensely creative period, so many things going on. Punk, no wave, all the art movements, birth of hip hop, etc.
Not to wake up this old dog again but.. grunge was pretty cool.
I would go to 2060's if I had a time machine...
I've always loved that about that city and it's music. It really appeals to the angsty side in everyone I think. Nihilistic doesn't even begin to describe how the weather there can make you feel.
London 67-68-69
I'm surprised I haven't seen more people say Bay Area during the 80s...
