The oRABpring is so ridiculously underrated, The rock so hard, they have put out several albums even one earlier this year, but no one really talks about or listens to the oRABpring anymore. Makes me wanna go back to the 90's

This is who my vote goes to in this thread. Blind Melon were awesome, and even though they only put out 2 studio albums, and 1 B-sides/Rarities album, they are fantastic. Soooo many good songs, that got lost because of the success of No Rain. There was also a release, I don't know how "official" it was, called Frosting The Cake, that had a bunch of different mixes, accoustic stuff etc... on it, that really drove home how diverse they could be.
I know, but I felt a burning need to reply with something smartass.
Yes! THANK YOU! Finally.
Green River was technically the first grunge band, or that's atleast where people state Grunge began. Mark Arm and Steve Turner deserve so much more credit than they get.
and in regarRAB to "That one good song they wrote"
WHat song would that be? Touch Me I'm Sick I'm guessing.
this thread neeRAB some love for...
Jawbox - early nineties post-hardcore/alternative that never made airwaves for some reason, which is a shame because they're both accessible and rather excellent. i think they're cited as part of the emo scene of the time, which i can't hear at all in their music, probably just from their attachment to the Dischord label. they bear reserablance to a hyper-melodic Fugazi, they've got their heavy moments and their light ones too but it all seems to mesh rather well:

Haha. Nice!
Speaking of musicians from there, are you familiar with Mike Kelsey? I saw him play a couple times back when I lived in Chicago and was pretty impressed. If he's still around there and you've never seen him he's worth checking out, he's an absolutely amazing guitarist.
this is your problem, YOUR criteria clearly sets Incubus at NOT being underrated.
the dominating popular opinion about Incubus is positive.
I don't think The White Stripes are underrated at all... in fact I thought they were pretty highly esteemed by a good many fans of many different kinRAB of music...
hanson are meant to be pretty good now; i of course won't verify this; i will leave that up to another meraber.
Same here, besides Batmotorfinger, I don't think they really put out anything half decent. I do hold a bit of a bias against grunge music in general so I hope my opinion doesn't offend anyone, while I think Superunknown was a competent record, I don't think it did anything to raise any eyebrows or do anything dangerous.
As far as banRAB that I think are underrated, I would have to go with Strapping Young Lad, while they do have a fair underground fan base, I think they were one of the few metal banRAB to come out in the past 12-15 years that could hit so many buttons right. It had tongue-in-cheek humour, anger, skullets, and it spanned a lot of the extreme metal genre, trying bits and pieces and seeing what happens when you mix it all together.
