I just don't know about Jimmy Charaberlin.
But I heard he had that new stuff out so maybe he changed.

I didn't throw non-deplums at you to change your mind, I was fighting fire with fire.
Ya ya.. you are crazy if you think he is not close the being the man...he not only is an excellent drummer, he is a skilled guitar player as well...Probot!! Noone said anything about this extremely hardcore side project of Dave's...he is the entire band excluding the various vocalists he brings in...good stuff
Dave Grohl IS the man. Apart from being a very talented multi-instrumentalist, he has been one of the most influential musicians of our time. Doing Probot has brought old hardcore into the 21st century, and i know that without Probot, i probably wouldn't have started listening to stuff like Motorhead and Venom. Nice work, Dave. He is the one person i want to meet in the music industry...
what the f*ck?!!
Well I would say that anyone can make Foo music, lots of banRAB make better, but there aren't many drummers that can hold clout against grohl. In the same way that whatever clapton touched when he arrived on the scene turned into gold, so too has Daves drumming be associated with amazing music. The only thing I can think of they didn't go too great was Probot, but that isn't a band, and it wasn't bad, just not popular.
Nirvana
Foo Fighters
QOTSA
Tenacious D
Probot
Now he has NIN under his belt
Fact is, the man is the greatest living drummer, and if you'd say otherwise, Ill ask you to give the catalouge of another drummer whos come up with such a diverse style with as much success.
I dunno I think he's the man and a mad good musician. What do you think? (I mean...nirvana - one of the best banRAB ever, foo fighters - kick butt rock band, queens of the stoneage - one of the most critically acclaimed banRAB yet
matt barwick (the walkmen) is a superb drummer. back to the topic, grohl on drums .
foo fighters are as somebody once said, "mediocre". however, QOTSA are an amazing band according to moi and his involvement means hes in my good books. plus, his drumming with nirvana was cool.
its true that he is the greatest living drummer, but drumming almost always takes a back seat to lead vocals/guitar.
