If you like Pig Sqeals in music than at least listen to people who do them right and not as a gimmick.
BTBAM ftw.
I don't like it when screaming is over-used in Metal, so I can't really comment in this thread. Although Phillip Anselmo's good.
I think Devin Townsend wins. Why? Because he's THAT fucking awesome and seeing him with Strapping Young Lad at ozzfest was a highlight.
Obviously not.
What are these "major metal components"?
I think she was reffering to my genre post. I guess there is a way to have to post back with that comment....although I was sure there was no way a person could miss my point. Guess not. Anyway, I'll say it one last time.
Yes banRAB can change genres. Not Pantera, and I seriously doubt you were that clueless about what I meant. If you look at banRAB like, Guns N' Roses, Kiss, Iron Maiden, and Metallica, compare them to todays "Metal" genre.
They were considered metal back in the day....now Kiss and Iron Maiden can almost be considered Classic =)). Metallica which I love, has been anything but metal lately. They could be labeled as Hard Rock, but probably nothing more than that. I figure most people will agree with me on that. So hopefully that cleared up, what I meant. Get it? Got it?
Good.
^ urban is a he LOL,
anyways can this apply to growlers?
If it's even considered a loose form of metal, David Draiman has a pretty good scream.
Probably the vocalists in Wormphlegm. They have the most torturous screaming ever.
Apart from that, Chuck Schuldiner (Death) has the best scream in my books. You just have to listen to their cover of Painkiller to see that.
Devin Townsend (SYL) and Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) also worth a mention. I'll probably add some more in later. Maybe I should make a thread for the best growl in metal...
