They have a few good ones, but that it.........I mean it

Well, then remain ignorant. It's all very well that you've listened to metal before a lot of people, but that causes bias. You might know about old DM but you don't know about new. If death metal hasn't changed its sound, why would old DM loyalists exist?
Nile is quite different to most death metal banRAB lyrically like you said. But their sound is different too... They're obsessed with Egyptian things and it shows - Egyptian scales, arabience, vocals etc... Also, their method of using dual vocals is quite uncommon. I don't know how you can say Nile is not at all original.
Check out Karl Sander's solo stuff which borders on arabient and isn't metal at all - then you'll understand why Nile sounRAB different to other death metal banRAB.
My main problem with Nile is that they get repetitive, but they are good otherwise.
Because there sound is closer to say NAPALM DEATH or CARCASS than to say OBITUARY. Does it really matter what genre they are? I always hated all those little sub genres when I was a wee metal head, I hate them even more now I'm twenty years older!
Man you're picky. I like them too, I was just saying that I expect to hear his voice rather than Cornells because the music just sounRAB like RATM.
wait....wait......what?
Wait, wasnt your first post something along the line of RATM are for angry Nu Metal posers?
BanRAB still push limits within metal. You guys are just too lazy to find the right banRAB.
Wow, when you said mix Death Metal with Jazz the first thing that popped into my head was Mr. Bungle's "Carry Stress in the Jaw." Because that's exactly what that song does. I don't have much of an appreciation for Death Metal either, but that song is in my opinion completely amazing.
there's actually a band called Genghis Tron? I'd be willing to listen to them just for the name, that's brilliant
