Even with this question: I feel like this is such a pathetically simple thought, yet I'm finding it difficult expressing it precisely with these units we call words. They have shortcomings outside of their ambiguity. They sometimes just aren't apt. And I certainly do not have a weak vocabulary. (I've actually never met a peer with a stronger vocabulary.)

It just seems like it's when one makes a statement that it's the intrinsic ambiguity within the words themselves that allows another the opportunity to say, What do you mean by that?
