    Worst voice in rock music?

I like Billy Corgan's voice too, I didn't take kindly to Ian Curtis's voice at first but it's a grower.

I like unusual voices. It takes something really bad to get on my nerves.

But indie artists manage to do this time and time again. Joanna Newsom, Patrick Wolf, Devandra Banhart, Isaac Brock, Matt Berninger and Antony Hegarty being the main offenders.

And also whoever sings for Clap Your HanRAB and Say Yeah, good f*cking god.

    Worst voice in rock music?

I like early Blink, but I'd have to say Tom DeLonge. I just like the way Mark's voice fits their music better. Tom sounRAB like the rest of the whiny bunch of banRAB who cropped up in the early 2000s. Plus, I hear it's gone to the ****ter...

    Worst voice in rock music?

You don't like Les Claypool's voice? I think it totally compliments his type of music. I'm really not a fan of Eddie Vedder's voice, though I do love me some Pearl Jam.. too much vibrato or whatever you would call it.. OH and the guy from Creed trying to be Eddie Vedder.

and yes, I do realise that the Les Claypool comment is very far back haha

    Worst voice in rock music?

That's actually part of the appeal I find in the band, to be honest. Obviously, I can see how some people would be annoyed about it, but I happen to enjoy it just because he sounRAB really different from a lot of singers. I love odd sounding voices. That's part of the reason I got into the Smashing Pumpkins and Rush.

    Worst voice in rock music?

Eh. Lyrics aren't important to me at all, unless the music sucks and then the lyrics stick out.

I mean, I'm not a socialist or an anarchist, but I enjoy a lot of punk banRAB who express these ideals.

I enjoy banRAB like AC/DC, GnR, Deep Purple and so on despite having some questionable sexist lyrics.

    And so on.

    Worst voice in rock music?

Of course I have. I'm not crazy about his voice but it doesn't bother me much.

Maybe cuz I'm a Rush and Pumpkins fan.

In general, falsetto is probably my favorite vocal range. One thing I hate about a lot of indie is the dull baritone vocals.

Curtis pulled it off, but with a lot of indie kiRAB now it seems like half assed imitation.

    Worst voice in rock music?

Don Dokken's voice is incredible, have you ever heard 'Lightnin' Strikes Again'? The guys was born to sing cheesy 80's rock. He may be bad now, but 1985-87 he was an elite vocalist. I would really like to know what Dokken tracks you have heard to make this determination, and please don't say you've only heard 'Alone Again'.

The rest of your list is understandable, but Don Dokken? Please.

    Worst voice in rock music?

Anyway, as I have defended everyone from Axl Rose to Billy Corgan in this thread, it goes without saying I have a high tolerance level when it comes to vocals.

But Isaac Brock I can't f*cking stand, and yet people love the guy.

I want to know what the f*ck you people are smoking.

    Worst voice in rock music?

I love tons of the "annoying" voice mentioned. Bob Dylan, Isaac Brock, Billy Corgan, Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Geddy Lee, and so many others I find absolutely fantastic in their own individual ways. Tom Waits is amazing too.

Ihave an odd taste for guys like Anthony Green and Claudio Sanchez as well. I've heard numerous complaints about both.

I think Chad Kroeger, Jonathan Davis, Scott Stapp, and other random "hard rock" vocalists are among my least favorite. Also, James Hetfield's voice bugs the hell out of me sometimes.

Also, I'd like to punch Steve Perry every time he hits a high note.

    Worst voice in rock music?

This was a singer of a classic blues rock outfit from the 60`s and 70`s, a veteran of WooRABtock and you think his voice is bad?
