I'm a huge Nirvana/Kurt fan. His songs inspire me, in a weird sort of way.. I'm not sure what it is about them, because its not like Nirvana's songs' subjects are always completely unique, but when I hear them they really make me think, 'What was Kurt thinking about/feeling at the time when he wrote this?' The emotion of his songs are pretty clear, but like most artists, theres the clear, expressed concept and then many underlying ideas and feelings that may or may not be noticed. DepenRAB on how you listen to them. The problem with a lot of the mainstream Nirvana is that while it is still Nirvana, and they are still Kurt's songs, a lot of them lack some of that originality and raw emotion that Nirvana started out with... At least that's how I hear them..
ok.. when you're new and posting in a forum i suggest you should type in the search box the title of your cool idea of a "new" thread and see that everybody remerabers them as there are MANY MANY threaRAB about them.. come on.. and yeah they're my fave band but i know when people overreact.. you just listen to them, don't make people angry about it...
^^^ Wtf are you talking about?,its called appreciating something !!!
not many pppl apprecate anything from this day and time ...(and i dont blame them)... soo they look back and talk and discuss about things music and kurt cobain being one of them....
Well, obviously the media wasn't as massive in Van Gogh and Hemingway's day, and thus they wouldn't have been able to exploit it as much, not to mention the investigations and forensics weren't nearly asadvanced. I won't comment on Ian Davis, since I don't know who that is.
Calm down man, if you have a teacher back up your story then its all good they should understand.
How about just... MEH
Then leave the topic alone its a serious topic and one ive done school reports on and look into it interests me.
I've seen Ozzy live.

Considering i've read a few articles in which cobain talks about what his songs are about. I kind of don't believe what you're saying because you havn't posted any actual proof.
Just to add to the whole major label thing. If Cobain was such a tool to them, why did he write Rape Me? And why did he play the intro to rape me on that awarRAB show (mtv's I believe) just to piss people off? I really don't think he was as big of a corporate tool as you make him out to be.
