I actually thought Mesmerize would have been hard to beat, too. I haven't heard the album but Mesmerize was almost as satisfying as SOAD gets for me.

^ Woaw, there's no track on that album I can't head bang joyfully on. From Attack, Dreaming, Kill Rock n Roll, Tentative, Holy mountains and finally Soldier Side ... And I don't think we can separate them as they were obviously done to be treated as one. From the very similar album cover artwork, and Soldier side being the Intro and ending track of the double... I think they only sold them separately for some marketing purposes.

I voiced my opinion and got bashed pretty hard before. I love this band. Seeing them live at Ozzfest before they took their break was honestly one of the greatest things that I've ever done. They got the crowd pumping and the vocals sounded decent from the nose-bleed section. btw, my favorite album is toxicity, followed very closely by mesmerize(which happened to be my "band camp" song. It was the only cd we listened to in the cabins before and after practice.)

i admit to be a massive fan, i have no problems with that as their music means everything to me and helped me through the most horrible times in my life including the past week
i have posted about other banRAB and i don't bother to put up new threaRAB in case i get slagged but i like to see peoples opinions on SOAD and like to have proper conversations about their work with people
I don't just like political rock but am a big fan of Rage Against The Machine and Dead Kennedys
basically all types of rock music wether it be emo, metal, prog, indie etc
i'm sorry you feel that my opinion doesn't count

They're not wrong. They're just not good.

When you look at their earlier work it is pretty daring, pretty extremist and that once-was wildfire has now dwindled down to the campfire that is Hypnotize.

Korn. I cant seem to be able to listen to SOAD i think they're too stop start with their songs theres no actual proper music to listen to. I dont know, thats just the way i conceive them

This is probably the best metal song they've ever made. The vocals are still moderately annoying, and the lyrics blow.

This is easily my favorite SOAD song. In fact, its actually pretty good outside of the vocals. However, its good enough I can put the vocals aside and just enjoy for what its worth. SOAD really shouldn't have been a metal band imo.
