Thread: When you found out the Freddie Mercury was gay.........?

I was not alive back then but I do not know how you missed that. But, he was one of the greatest lead singers ever.

Honestly, I didn't know very much about him and I still don't. I kind of shrugged it off, wasn't too shocking or anything. I'm used to non-gay seeming people being gay though.

I was more shocked to find out he had a daughter.

**The story of Freddie having a daughter came out about 2 months after his passing, it wasn't with Mary. I don't know who the mother was. It was also reported that the song "bicycle race" was written about a red tricycle that Freddie had given to the girl as a gift.*

That's just a rumor. Freddie was never gay.

I hated queen anyway, so I just laughed at the irony.

Oh trust me. The signs were there. I knew he was before he came out.

Now I'm shocked. I never knew that. Was the mother the lady he spoke about in one of his last interviews. The one he considered to be his best friend....I think her name was Mary but I'm not sure

The man fronted a band called QUEEN... did you think they chose that name out of respect for the the British monarchy?

I found out a little while ago, haha. I was just like 'oh okay', and listened to Bicycle.

Mary was his best friend; he gave her the majority of his belongings and money, and she lives in his home right now.
