advice, to buy or not to buy- 02 mazda?

i found a 2002 mazda 626 with 90,000miiles. i looked up customer reviews and guide reports. i looked up value and i talked to my cousin who is a mechanic, but i was looking for any personal experience or advice. i am buying the car from a small dealership and i get nervous around car salesman. he is asking 5900, and i was thinking of bringing it to a mechenic and then offerinng him 5000... im really nervous...

    ADVICE PLEASE!!!

The 626 is a good car. You may have to invest in changing the timing belt if they do not have receipts to prove that it was changed after 60,000 miles. If it's a v6 5000 would be a good buy. If it's a 4 cylinder make a lower offer initially.
