My husband and I have been vehicle shopping for a few months now and have decided that we want a 2010 or 2011 Toyota Highlander. I have always heard that the end of the year and month is a good time to buy a new vehicle because they are wanting to make a sale and get vehicles off the lot. However, I am concerned about buying the vehicle now because of having to pay personal property taxes on them next year, which would amount to approximately $750. Whereas if I wait until 2011, I won't have to pay personal property tax on it until 2012. What do you think...should I buy now or wait? Thanks!
I've been looking for a good used Highlander, but it just seems that the price really isn't that much lower than a new vehicle. Also with buying a new vehicle, I can get pretty good financing. So that is why I am thinking a new vehicle. Thanks for the advice though. I currently have a celica and am looking for a vehicle better in the snow and something more family-oriented.
