    EVDO Speeds (Based on PRLs)

    I'm getting about 450 at my house and thats is with only two bars...at work with full strength I am getting the 1.5 megs....awesome....now if only I had skyfire.

    EVDO Speeds (Based on PRLs)

    Faster than the EVDO Aircard I had through Verizon for 70 bux a month.. that got me like 300kbps at the most here.

    I know i havent ever climed a cell phone tower, But What do you mean by drop the proxy? Is that just make plug and play DHCP work for theathering easier?

    Or does it make it go faster and better

    what it means is that all internet traffic on cricket has to pass through a proxy server (wap.mycricket.com) on port 8080 only, which blocks you from using pop3 and smtp for email or anything else that uses a port other than 8080...

    dropping the proxy means that cricket would no longer use a proxy server at all like sprint...

    then there would also be no need to access the internet on your pc through a proxy when you tether.
