What effect do our pollutants have on the universe?

The ozone layer "breathes" to allow particles that need to escape from the air the freedom to do so, right? What happens to these particles once they're released into the universe?
Or does it? I know some particles destroy the ozone layer, but what about all the other stuff besides oxygen?

They're pollutants that only life forms care about. The Universe doesn't care.

Pollutants affect life, those particles released into space just above our atmosphere are probably annihilated by cosmic rays and other radiation before they get too far.
