Can a Fido sim card be used with a Rogers phone?

I have a Fido phone/sim card, but I recently found a phone I really like from Rogers Wireless and I'm wondering if a Fido sim card can be used with a Rogers phone. I'm asking because Rogers bought Fido so they're technically the same company, right?

Try inserting the Fido sim in the Rogers phone and if it shows any error message like "invalid sim" then the phone is locked with Rogers and it will not accept the Fido sim unless you unlock it.You can approach Prounlocking.com and get the required unlock code for your phone. They provide the unlock service along with free unlock instructions.
