Jeep Grand Cherokee '98 having ignition issues?

I just got a new battery and they ran diagnostic tests that showed nothing is wrong, however, my car either stalls on me for no apparent reason or won't start. Additionally, the dashboard lights dim intermittently. What on earth is the problem that it doesn't show up during diagnostic testing?!?

The stalling may be a dirty throttle body and idle air control (iac) motor gone bad. Have a mechanic check for those things. See if your battery terminals are clean and tight. Good Luck.

Diagnostic testing is for emission system not battery. I would suggest that the battery terminals and posts were not cleaned with the new battery install. Buy a battery brush, remove battery terminals and clean terminals and battery posts till they SHINE. Poor workmanship on installers part.
