Uh, the IFC is independant and they do fine.

I wish Colors did not drop their Funimation channel block last year. Damn how i wish Dish Network had the FUNimation channel. Monster, MONSTER. I love Monster, I would give anything except my soul to have the Monster dub in my hanRAB.
Still this is great news for those that have the FUnimation channel, and who knows maybe Viz will put those shows online soon. Bleach Naruto and Death note are Fine Viz but stream some other shows too please.
Except that nobody has IFC.
Well I have it ...... but maybe just Direct TV carries it in the mainstream
IFC isn't an independent channel. It's owned by Rainbow Media, which is a subsidiary of Cablevision.
IFC is actually a pretty basic channel (For Dish network anyway) it's on like the cheapest package.
To be exact, it is on the "America's Top 200" package which is the middle tier between the "Top 100" and the "Top 250".
Considering Verizon is rolling out FIOS hard and puts the Funimation Channel in their basic TV package, it's something I think every anime fan with FIOS in their area should think about.
Hmm. It's sadly not available in Arlington. Blast. Well, I signed up to be notified when it is. Anyone else in this situation should too, Verzion probably keeps track of who's asking for it.
*walks off grurabling*
Well I would get FIOS if I had the chance, but I think my family is happy with IO. I just hate the fact that most of the channels that air anime, I need the box to see them, like SyFy and IFC.
