Phew… at last we have some time to put some words together. The last two weeks have been extremely busy. But we are very happy with the results and feedback we’ve been getting.
We launched FruitfulTime ProductivityMeter Personal Edition for FREE in the last week of December, just in time for the holidays. From then, the coverage we have been receiving is impressive. It all started when Mark from Productivity501 wrote this blog post. LifeHacker author Jason Fitzpatrick read about our product on Productivity501. He then mentioned us as a Featured Windows Download.Â* The response was huge and we have to thank our hosting provider for keeping up with the traffic surge. Our servers did not relax much since a week after CodeProject mentioned FruitfulTime ProductivityMeter on the web site and in their updates mailing list. To keep this post short, we cannot mention all of the blogs and web sites here but we thank all of you for your support.
We got a lot of positive feedback, recommendations, feature requests, and like any other software bug reports. So we switched on our auxiliary power units and entered in overdrive mode to fix the issues reported and implement some of the feature requests. Don’t worry guys if your feature request is not yet included, it will be in future builds, but you know, we have to prioritize stuff.
Top on the feature request list was support for x64 machines (64-bit machines for the non-techies). We worked hard and are very pleased to announce that FruitfulTime ProductivityMeter can now be installed on x64 machines.
The latest build also includes important fixes for those of you who run Microsoft Windows or their web browser using a language other than English. It also includes many other behind the scenes tweaks to make FruitfulTime ProductivityMeter more robust and resilient.
We would like to thank all the guys who offered feedback, and especially those who worked with us to reproduce and solve bugs. You all know who you are
As regards, the Business Edition of FruitfulTime ProductivityMeter, the release date is still set for mid-February. We thank all those who expressed their interest in the business edition. More information will soon be made available on the web site. In the meantime you can send an email on [email protected] to express your interest.
Well, I guess that is all for now. Keep on checking the web site and blog in the coming weeks since we are currently working on translating FruitfulTime ProductivityMeter into various languages. If you wish to use FruitfulTime ProductivityMeter in your native language and you or someone you know can help us with the translations, send us an email on [email protected].
