The pink triangle was used to id homosexuals like the Star of David was used to id Jews.4) Where does the term lesbian originate? The Island of Lesbos in the Mediterranean Sea, the home of the Greek Poetess Sappho.5) Who was the first male-to-female transsexual in the U.S.? Christine Jorgensen (in 1953?)6) What is the name of the first female-to-male porn star in the U.S.? Got me on that one...7) Who was the creator of the rainbow pride flag? Gilbert Baker (in 1978?)8) It is estimated that glbt teens make a suicide attempt every ______ hours because of difficulty dealing with the stresses of being glbt. Not sure how often, but about 1/3 of all teen suicides are by GLBT youth. Gay youth are 2 to 3 times more likely to attempt suicide.
