Thread: 01 yamaha V star 1100 needs help?

I have a yamaha V Star 1100 that i cannot get to warm up just sitting at idle. when i open the choke and start it it will run for about 30 seconds then die. the only way i can get it to warm up is to start it hop on and go. the issue i run into is that when i get to a stop light it will idle down to about 500 rpms and die if i dont apply some throttle. once it warms up it runs just fine any suggestions on what to check.
I did adjust the idle speed it was idling about 850 rpm i adjusted up to 1000 and still same issue

Have you tried adjusting the Idle screw buy the pet cock ? its under your tank buy the gas switch , sitting on the bike and screwing it back twards you should raise the RPM , im me or e mail me !
