I'm a 17 year old female and I have quiet an arch in my back. I work out often, I dance and I coach gymnastics. Ever since I was little I have had a "sway" back. My dance instructor just says I have weak ab muscles. I do sit-ups regularly though. Leg lifts hurt me the most. It is impossible for me to lay flat. Their are many ab exercises that I know I can't or shouldn't do because of my back. I know I would just be wasting my time and hurting my back. My back hurts if I stand for a long time or after a work- out. Again, i'm only 17... I don't want to be worrying about back problems already.
So, is my arched back a result of weak ab muscles or poor posture? What can I do about it? And is it unsafe to do ab exercises such a s leg lifts??
