I started selling Avon last Friday. I sold 6 items, received $69.33 total. Avon says I owe them $63.01. That would leave me with only $6.32. I don't understand how that can be, if I get .40% commission. I do receive only 20% for a watch priced at $14.99, but the way I calculated it, I multiplied (5 items) $48.97 x .40= 19.588. The remaining item, $14.99 x .20= $2.998 totals $22.586. That is a big difference. I suck at math, but my friend, who signed up at the same time as I did, came up with the same amount, and this isn't counting tax, which the lady who signed me up said not to add to my total, since that's the government's money. Can someone tell me what I've done wrong? I really don't want to pay them $63.01, and only receive $6.32 if I earned more. Thank you!
