Question about the built in IM client...

Does the built in IM client in my e50 use data or text messages? I remember reading some where on the Cingular forum where some of the built in IM clients used text messages rather than data. I need one that uses data since i only have 200 text messages a month and unlimited data.

Or if you guys could recommend me a different IM client, i primarily use Yahoo and AIM, but i also have MSN and ICQ and Jabber and of course Google Talk but never use the latter four

I believe if it's unbranded it uses data. I've been using the built in one on my E60 with PacketBox and it uses data.

Mine uses data, I use mine with PacketBox and my WiFi. I've also used the branded (text messaging) version and found it to be much faster...
