I don't actually believe Jews are a race for the reason you just pointed out that picture, Ethiopian Jews. There's plenty of groups similar to them, who have settled in other areas and have over time, absorbed people from the surrounding community into theirs, becoming relativley ethnically homogeneous to the surrounding people (take for instance, Moshe Katsav, who, ironically, was born in Tehran). Zionism takes Jews to be a distinct and homogeneous racial group, and then says that as a homogenous group, through nationalistic ideas, the Jews deserve a nation. Of course, the problem of that is that as a Jewish nation, and explicitly a Jewish nation, it utilizes self defined criteria to make Israel an exclusive Jewish nation and generally restricts it to Jews only.

Of course, such an idea is nothing more than exclusion, and the primary mission of Israel to be a Jewish state is little different from America calling itself a White state.

Except Israel never was and never will be an 'excuslively Jewish nation,' as you called it. This is more than evidenced by the fact that 20% of the country is Arab, and no one is complaining; they are given full rights and even elect their own Arab leaders to Israel's Knesset. Not to mention all the Christians who live happily as citizens. Just because it is a nation which will always fight for and preserve the rights of Jews, and serve as a safe haven for those Jews escaping persecution elsewhere, does not mean only Jews may live there. I challenge you to find me one line among any of Israel's laws that suggest it is to be inhabited exclusively by Jews, or that in any way suggest non-Jews may not live freely. The country goes so far in its secularism as to refuse so much as mentioning ANY divine being in it's national anthem, more than can be said of the United States or most of Europe. If you want to see racist societies, seen as theocricies meant to be inhabited strictly be one member of a specific religion, you must look to the Arab world. Check Saudi Arabia's laws concerning who is intended to live there and enjoy equal protection under the law, why are you not focusing your energies on ending this openly unjust society?

As far as Jews "absorbing" other groups into their own, we both know this idea is absurd. Judaism is the only religion on earth which always has and always will DISCOURAGE conversion. Additionally, the fact that Jews have been persecuted nonstop for 5000 years now might make it not seem such an attractive option for potential convertees to seek out, no? Ethiopian Jews, Iranian Jews, European Jews, etc. are all descendents of common ancestors, as has been confirmed multiple times through DNA testing and should be understood by using common sense.
