n72 issues

so ive been having an issue with my n72. its been about a year since ive had it and lately ive been having issues with it. first the up and right key dont work, then the 1 and 3 button stop working too. just when i thought it couldnt get any worse the phone shuts off randomly (that or it just whites out). get this to make matters worse the phone just completely failed on me. it no longer starts properly and is only able to play 80% of the nokia ring tone before it just stays white. (the screen). what's the best way to approach this? (oh this was my friends phone, what i was describing to you was his experience, im getting the phone for free from him.) thanks for the help.
