I can't believe the demand that still exists for the wii, it's really quite amazing.
Go nintendo go!
This Target in my area was pulling some shady shit. After ALMOST getting a Wii today (i was one off in line at gamestop) I was cruisin around in Target, and I happend to come across 4 or 5 Wii Remotes, so I grabbed one and went up to the counter. The guy gave me the look and asked where I got that. I said, "There are some hanging right on the rack dude." So he said they must have slipped past him, and I bought mine, came back not two minutes later to pick another one up, and he was taking them to the back room, and got in back before I could catch him...
Apparently Stores could be held liable for printing advertisements and not holding true to them. So, if one of these said advertisements has a particular product listed within its pages, it's suppose to be some sort of guarantee that it will be available on the release date printed on the ad. If the store has shipments of that product sitting in the stock room Tuesday, and a advertisement being released with the newspaper the following Sunday, they'll almost always wait until the ad is released to sell the items. It happens ALL the time, the only time we notice it is like now, with really in-demand items like the Wii and PS3.
But why print an advertisement that is going to force your stores to not sell an item that is hard to come buy? Money on Tuesday = the same amount Sunday.
IE: Black friday, they expect soccer moms to come in and buy it, they sell them on a bunch of shit and they profit more... instead, since it's hard to find, you have the same people waiting out front who come in asking for it everyday.
Just seems like a silly cycle
