Think about using the Wiimote to point at the screen when it's a 4:3 image stretched to 16:9.

Nintendo didn't make a huge oversight at all. They never intended nor advertised the Wii as a HD console with every game in 16:9 widescreen. Some games may be in 480p widescreen; most probably won't. HDTV owners can set their TV's to 4:3 for games like this. Big deal.
doesn't really bother me
doesn't bother me at all.
LAUGH OUT LOUD AT HUGE OVERSIGHT
i couldn't care less. if you don't want it stretched, don't stretch it. theres an idea
I know they didn't intend to make it an HD console, but widescreen? Come on. Who are you kidding? I'd say about half of all people I know have widescreen TVs.
the only idiotic thing is, why have a 360 and/or a ps3 with no hdtv... because GOW and Resistance looks so good on a SDTV in 480i..
why would you spend 400+(360) or 600+(ps3) including games on a next-gen while your tv costs less than 300 dollars..
And of those people that have widescreen TV's how many of them are HD? 99% of them right? My point stands....
So you have Warioware and confirmed it doesnt have widescreen mode?
