    Who can tell me about the 06-08 honda civic si?

    is 06-07 civic si coupe good 1st car?

    It's fine if you can afford the insurance on it.

    They get decent gas mileage (on premium fuel though, unfortunately...) and they're pretty good in terms of sporty handling. They don't have much power below 6000rpm but above that they're peppy. It's a chore driving them fast in daily traffic unless you really love revving the hell out of the motor (which you probably will enjoy, especially if it's your first car).

    Safety-wise they're pretty decent too, but the 4-door Si is much more practical in terms of passenger space and ease of getting in and out than the coupe if you ever plan on hauling people or stuff around the 4-door Si is just as fast and handles about as well too.

    Overall those year Civic Si's are nice cars IF you can afford insurance on them (it's pretty high, especially for younger Civic Si drivers) and as long as you understand that it doesn't have much power below 6000rpm (which does get annoying after a while but is fun at first).
