if you are talking about stripped bar codes, then that is not a 2D bar code, read the article on the link i posted above, see the samples of 2D bar codes, these are usually square and looks like what is shown below:

that firefox extension is AWESOME. just installed it and reads barcodes fine on the n95. i always wondered why normal barcodes wouldnt read...
That extension works great for me, too. It read the barcode instantly.
I haven't been able to read any other normal barcodes.
you won't be able to, it is not designed for that, it is only for 2D barcodes...
Thanks friedbrains. I didn't know there were 2d bar codes. It would have been cool to read the normal bard codes.
i want to say that the post office stamps a bar code like that on envelopes/packages..

I tried reading a barcode on the back of a book and it worked. The reader was able to pickup some number.
Okay two questions. What type of barcodes are readable. Is it the traditional barcodes on the ketchup bottle, or is it the square barcodes that are shown above. Secondly, what information is available from the scanning of the barcode.
