    N95 + Silicone = Happiness

Exactly what I thought before I bought it.
But such was my need that I forewent my misgiving and pulled the trigger.

    And you know what ?
I'm glad I did, because the pictures don't do it justice.
It's WAAY uglier than that !
    No, only joking.
It's much more transparent than the nauseating pictures show - and indeed it looks quite alright in the rubber.
Trust me, the thing is NOT white - it's properly transluscent.

Handlingwise, it REALLY and truly transforms the phone.
Just holding it is a nice experience - you tend to linger with it in your hand as it just wants to be caressed.

But I think with a day's usage, the single greatest thing I've found with it is the massive improvement in you-know-it's-in-your-handness ... the weight is absolutely perfect (putting me in mind of the N80 rather than a plasticky toy) - and the balance is truly rewarding.

Try one for a day and it's functional pulchritude will win you over.
    I dare you.

    Sure it would.
Grind anything against another surface and it'll get ground into.

no steffi, it doesn't stop it, it flows smoothly.

magicbird, i'm certain that it would over time, at least leave some marks where it's holding on to the phone. i bought this case to use temporally only. one of my friends has a thin film, sort of like a screen protector but more flexible covering his entire psp...i just bought the hard case until i could find out where he bought that, then cut it (it comes in squares, not product specific) to fit my cell.

I wanna see you guys laugh the other side of your faces.
'Cos you will, once you've taken the taste test

And besides, who's gunna nick something in a silicone glove ?

    It's so low-key.
A bit like running a VW bug with a Carrera engine.

Never content, I decided to mod the crystal case.

First - it's very amenable to filing (good start) and can also be cut with an Exacto knife.

So I removed the circle covering the camera, which allowed the case to fit the back half of the phone properly.

I then filed out the D-cluster aperture, bevelling the edges for easier peripheral button access.

    Works a treat.

I think I'm gunna use this rather than the silicone, because the existing slide action is reasonably good - and the silicone did de-spring it, so it no longer snapped into position.

Plus, it feels good 'n chunky in the hand.

I can happily report that it's also worth removing the screen area, which tends to reflect too much light, scratch easily and generally spoil the screen experience.
The front cover retains its rigidity and the whole deal rocks.

    N95 + Silicone = Happiness

I swapped out my crystal case today with a Silicone case from MBK here in Bangkok. I did see some evidence of the crystal case haven't scratched the body so it's onto Silicone for now. These Silicone cases have a interesting design. They have a sliding rail the top slides on the bottom rather than they being two entirely separate pieces that avoid each other. I assume the sliding keeps the sliding action smooth and still keeps both pieces secure.

All in all not bad but I really didn't have much of a choice as MBK only has one type of Silicone case for the N95/N83 right now.
