    setting up email on HTC hero

    i'm on blueyonder / virgin

    and i'm trying to set up my email account,

    i've typed in email address and user name & password

    than pop servier i've done pop3.blueyonder.co.uk
    security type - none
    server port -110

    then incoming

    smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
    security type - none
    server port - 25


    but i'm not receiving emails and not able to send them either

    help!!!

    well since sending this my emails seem to be coming in again but still can't send emails out

    Blueyounder, like most ISPs, only allow you to send emails if you're connected through one of their IP addresses. So, if you're connecting through 2G, or 3G, you will have a t-mobile (or whatever) IP address. You will only be able to send emails if you're connected through WiFi to your cable router which is in turn connected to Blueyonder.
