A bill that promised new jobs, school/education improvement, road & bridge improvements, etc ... yet only a little over a 1/4 of the TOTAL is what he promised, the rest is gove't 'pork' aka social programs to pay off the votes that got them elected!!!!I read an article today in my local paper that was written from an writer at the NY POST stating " The experts say that the stimulis package released will is not built to stimulate the economy."Why are we not listening to the experts to begin with??To you doubter posting here:$300,000 for a scultpture garden in miami$50,000,000 to a school for the arts$700,000,000 to a super computer that helps est. the weather$25,000,000 for anti-smoking campaignThese are just a few, if we really wanted to help these americans, we would put in real programs that workIf we have $819 BILLION to use then like many of you say - lets put it to good use - like increasing length of unemployement benefits, help with healthcare spending, provide funding to schools in low income neighborhoods where they run out of supplies 1/2 way through the year, etc... there is MANY things that can be spent on while we are spending other than gov't programs that will be short stints (therefore no real job creation) or progams that will not see developement for at least 3 yearsI apologize for the gramatical errors, I was not doing a copy & paste as I evidently should have. I am glad to see that society atleast cares where their $$$ is going; whether agreed or disagreed upon.another article written:http://hosted.ap.org/see: Analysis: Stimulus bill that's not all stimulatinghttp://online.wsj.com/article/SB123310466514522309.htmlFYI ... the guy I voted for Senator Lindsey Graham voted against the bill, to bad I couldn't vote in other states...
