I broke my phone, and the insurance won't cover it, so instead of buying a new one for a crapload of money, I was hoping I could just use an old Boost Mobile phone that I have?

first of all sprint phones do not have sim card boost and sprint services are totally diefferent boost is a iden network and sprint is a CDMA network a sim card will not sprint at all your just gonna have to buy another one and it depends on what phone you have too if you see a place on the back behind the battery of that old boost phone a place for a sim card then it cannot work with sprint if you dont see one it might work with it
